CMA CGM introduces PCS for Abidjan amid port congestion

CMA CGM has announced a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) for cargo moving to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, due to ongoing congestion at the port.

The surcharge will apply from 8 June 2026 for cargo originating from all regions except North and Latin America.

For cargo from North and Latin America, the PCS will take effect from 22 June 2026.

The surcharge applies to all cargo types, subject to space availability.

CMA CGM set the surcharge at USD 300, EUR 250 or GBP 225 per TEU.

The carrier said the surcharge will be settled together with freight charges.
