Chinese non-operating owner Xiamen Feihongshun Shipping has placed orders for two new container vessels, according to Dynaliners.

The order includes a 4,400 TEU vessel to be built by Jiangsu Zhiyuan Shipbuilding, as well as a smaller 3,300 TEU unit to be constructed by Ningbo Boda Shipbuilding.

The vessels are priced at approximately USD 42.7 million and USD 30 million, respectively.

The move reflects continued investment by Chinese tonnage providers in mid-sized container ships, supporting fleet renewal and positioning for regional and intra-Asia trade demand.
