ONE acquires stake in Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced the signing of a share purchase agreement to acquire a 30% stake in Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal Limited (HLT) in Laem Chabang, Thailand.

HLT is a key operator within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor and serves as a major gateway for trade in Southeast Asia. The terminal operates the highly automated Terminal D, as well as Terminals C1, C2 and A3 at Laem Chabang Port.

According to ONE, the investment will secure long-term access to terminal capacity and strengthen its position in a strategically important market.

“Our investment in HLT marks a significant milestone in our strategy to secure capacity in key gateways globally,” said Hiroki Tsujii, Global Chief Officer of ONE’s Product and Network division.

“HLT’s advanced capabilities and commitment to port technology align with our focus on operational excellence. This will allow us to provide customers with enhanced reliability and more efficient solutions within this key trade hub,” he added.
