Carrier Transicold helps TITAN Containers switch to low-GWP refrigerants
Carrier Transicold & TITAN Containers

Carrier Transicold has secured an order from TITAN Containers in Netherlands for new container refrigeration units using low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants.

The order includes OptimaLINE™ units designed for the R-1234yf refrigerant and NaturaLINE® units that use CO₂ (R-744) as a natural refrigerant.

Supporting Sustainable Refrigeration

The OptimaLINE system supports multiple refrigerants. It allows operators to transition to lower-GWP options and comply with EU F-Gas regulations.

Carrier will deliver the units fully charged from its facility in Singapore. This removes the need for on-site charging. It also speeds up installation and deployment.

Expanding CO₂ Refrigeration Fleet

The NaturaLINE units use CO₂ refrigerant, which has a GWP of 1. These systems will expand TITAN Containers’ fleet of environmentally responsible refrigerated containers.

Training and Technical Support

Carrier Transicold will also provide technical training to TITAN Containers’ teams in multiple countries. The training covers safe operation and maintenance of R-1234yf and CO₂ refrigeration systems.

The partnership supports the shipping industry’s transition to low-GWP refrigeration technologies while ensuring safe and efficient container operations.
