The Red Chickz expands US footprint with new franchise deals
US-based fast-casual restaurant brand The Red Chickz has signed new franchise development agreements in Alabama, Connecticut and Georgia.
The company said the new agreements align with its “coast-to-coast expansion strategy” as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the hot chicken category.
The Red Chickz co-founder and CEO Shawn Lalehzarian said: “This is exactly the kind of growth we're focused on: strategic, intentional, and aligned with strong franchise partners in dynamic markets.
“Alabama, Connecticut, and Georgia each present incredible opportunities for us to introduce our bold flavours and high-energy dining experience to new communities across the country.”
The company defined expansion to Alabama and Georgia as a “natural fit” for The Red Chickz's menu, citing demand for Southern-inspired flavours.
Connecticut represents the company’s first move into New England and adds to its network along the East Coast. The move into the state is also set to expand its footprint in densely populated markets, as the brand gains traction in states such as New Jersey and North Carolina.
The Red Chickz development vice-president Spencer Sabatasso said: “We're expanding with purpose.
“Our model is built for scalability, strong unit economics, and operational simplicity. These new agreements reflect the confidence franchisees have in what we're building: a brand with real staying power, not just trend appeal.”
The company’s franchise arrangements now cover several states, including Alabama, California, Connecticut, Georgia, North Carolina, New Jersey, and Texas.
The chain currently has 55 locations under development across the US, with more multi-unit agreements projected through 2026.
